Two hours later, Phoebe and Beth had managed to make about twenty hearts, all done up with glue and glitter. Very fun. Very fancy. Very messy. And thus, the total obsession with Valentines began.
We have expanded our everything-hearts repertoire in every imaginable way. The girl wakes up every morning, claims the paper stash, and promptly asks for her scissors. To date, I can only guess that she has cut nearly two hundred hearts (no exaggeration), since December.
I imagine in four days, when I announce that it is truly Valentime's Day, for I dare not pronounce it correctly in her presence, that it will be heart mayhem around here. She has already announced that on Valentime's Day, Daddy will be dressing up like a king, Mommy will be dressing like a queen, and of course, she will be the princess. She has also proclaimed that we will be putting the Christmas tree back up and hosting a huge party!
Oh boy.
I think I might be able to convince her to have a tea party instead. We shall see.
