It's official. Phoebe is now four years old, and of course, we had to celebrate Phoebe-style. Every year I say that the next year will be just pizza and cupcakes...but Miss Phoebe had been planning her four-year-old birthday, well, since she turned three! She is so into Fancy Nancy. If you don't know who that is, it is a book character who is super fun, very frilly, and quite fancy.
AND so was this birthday party. All year Phoebe has talked about having a fancy birthday tea party, where the girls dressed fancy and the boys looked dapper. We had one very fancy tea party indeed. Phew, I am still exhausted! Next year...pizza and cupcakes for sure! Here are some birthday highlights.
Two days before her birthday, I surprised her with a trip to the nail salon for Mommy and Phoebe pedicures!
Fancy polka-dotted piggies!
All dressed up for her special birthday dinner at her favorite...Roy's! (The girl's got great taste.)
Let the tea party begin...
Phoebe had lots of specific details in mind...right down to the fancy little umbrellas...
And the lolly-pop bouquets.
What's a frilly party without a little jewelry making?
And origami heart lockets all bedazzled with jewels.
And one very dapper origami guy!
Good friends, frilly clothes, boas and tiaras...
And one absolutely gorgeous birthday girl!!!!
